We are looking for an Advisory Associate to join our rapidly growing team in Pretoria, South Africa.

The principal role of an Advisory Associate is to create and maintain strategic partnerships with our customers by delivering first-class security consulting services, working closely and strategically with them, and ensuring that we understand and support their business and core security requirements.

Advisory services spend part of their time accompanying members of our sales teams to customer meetings, gathering requirements, and presenting and discussing solutions from our advisory, assessment, and services portfolio.

Our ideal candidate would be someone with a few years of technical experience who wants an opportunity to move into security advisory consulting and is willing to learn and earn security professional qualifications. Candidates who want to pursue a CISA, CISM, and CISSP professional qualifications but does not yet have the required experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with our customers, acting as a trusted security advisor to their security leadership.
• Help implement our overall Advisory services strategy for Orange Cyberdefense ZA.
• Understanding the company objectives and helping us to align with customer strategy and requirements.
• Translate (with supervision) technical findings from assessments into business-relevant advice and then translate risk into cybersecurity terms.
• Co-design, deliver and manage security advisory services, security assessments, reviews, strategic consulting, and ongoing security advisory.
• Support and work with the Advisory Consultant and Sales team to compose professional responses to tenders and other formal proposal documentation of the highest quality.
• Work closely with the project team and a group of highly skilled technical security analysts to deliver customer solutions as designed and act as a customer advocate.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least three years of hands-on technical security and / or IT Security GRC experience.
• Strong hands-on security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) experience, working knowledge including auditing, assessment, implementation and consulting of multiple industry accepted security standards and frameworks.
• Possess at least one technical security-related certification – Security+, ISO 27001, SSCP, any IT audit certification, or other accredited security certification.
• Experience managing and delivering security training and awareness programs and courses.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated vendor and marketplace knowledge and relevant accreditations and contacts.

Beneficial Skills

• Previous experience in supporting the CISO/Security manager/Officer functionality and roles.
• ISMS and/or DevOps experience.
• Experience in security operations and management in supporting OT/IOT infrastructure.
• General Business analysis experience
