The Orange Cyberdefense SensePost Academy 2026 is now open for applications!

🔸 Ever thought of entering a career in cyber security as a penetration tester?

🔸 Do you notice loopholes or ways that you are able to ‘trick’ systems or technology easily?

🔸 Are you interested in how people, processes and technology create risks for organisations?

‘The Academy’ as it is known is an internship program with Orange Cyberdefense South Africa where a limited number of carefully selected candidates will be taught the art of pen-testing by working, expert security analysts. Following the training, opportunities for full-time employment will be available to qualifying candidates.

Candidates will be tutored and developed, by some of the top hackers in the industry, to join the Orange Cyberdefense South Africa's - SensePost's Academy as Newly Qualified Junior penetration testers.

🔸 What will the application process look like? 

1 September 2025 - Applications open

29 September 2025 - Applications close - No further applications will be accepted

1 October 2025 - Candidates will receive feedback and a challenge to complete

6 October 2025 to 31 October 2025 - Multiple level screening process including a first short interview, a second technical challenge and a final interview

November 2025 - Full day visit to our Menlyn Maine Pretoria offices for a meet & greet with a shortlist of candidates (The final date will be communicated to candidates in advance when this visit will occur)

🔸 SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION 

We will need you to be present at the office in Menlyn Maine (Pretoria) daily for the duration of the academy - the training will be full office hours and require you to do your "homework" after hours.

After completion of the academy and accepting a position with us we will need you to reside within travelling distance of the Pretoria office for at least 3 years.

* This Academy is only open to South African citizens or people with existing valid work permit if you are not a South African citizen.
